Your pregnancy is coming along and all is well. You have thought about wanting to have a photographer come into the hospital to take photos. Yay! Such a special time, I am so thankful you are considering me. I recommend picking a photographer by 30 weeks. Ideally no later than 32 weeks, anything can happen and you want to be fully prepared. Most times when I book a Maternity Session I mention or offer the Fresh 48 Session in addition.
Things to discuss with your photographer when booking;
1. What hospital you will be delivering at
2. Exchanging contact information for both Mom, Dad & Photographer
3. Timeline and/or Induction Date
4. Things you would like to accomplish during session (skin to skin, breast feeding, family, etc)
5. Pricing, Turnaround Time, & What's Included
6. Will the Photographer be ON CALL 24/7 for you.
A general consensus for me; Once you are going to the hospital in labor or once you have just delivered baby; either you text/call me or someone in the hospital with you will text/call me. I will rearrange what ever I have scheduled so I can be to your hospital within the next 12-24 hours of baby being born. I do like to allow mom and dad to have a full 12 hours of bonding time before coming to the hospital. This is such a crucial time for mom and baby as testing starts to occur. If baby is sent to the NICU or mom needs some extra time, we can absolutely have me come to the hospital between 24-36 hours as well. Our session will 100% take place before mom & baby is discharged. Communication will happen and that is absolutely my promise when you hire me for your Fresh 48 Session.
