1.. Find a Photographer that you feel like you can be confident and comfortable around.
2. Create a vision board from google or pinterest and do not be afraid to share it with your photographer ( I promise we love it! )
3. Plan your outfits, matching outfits are not necessary! However, color coordinating them sure does pull everything together!
4. I always recommend a full belly before the session, it's hard to let things flow comfortably while you are hungry.
5. Sometimes making a music playlist to play while the session is going to help everyone loosen up is a great idea. . If you need help, just ask me- I have a million playlists in every genre!
6. If you have infants; definitely bring a noise making toy or even a snack. If you decide I am a good fit for you, you can let me know ahead of time and I can bring something to the session to help!
7. Rest may seem silly, but I promise you- it can make a really big difference. Kids and even Adults can be cranky if they are not well rested. If there is sickness in the household don't be afraid to reach out to the photographer to inform them.
8. Scoping out the location beforehand is generally the photographers duty but if you would like to go explore before the shoot so you can feel extra comfortable- I always say do it.
9. Plan your time well, leave you and your family enough time to get ready in a comfortable amount of time, rushing and stressing doesnt sound fun for anyone. Most of all don't stess, we are going to have a blast!
10. Lastly, an extra pair of clothes for yourself or even your kiddos is a good idea. Accidents can happen; mud, spit up, other spills, so playing it safe is the best idea. You are investing time and money into these special memories and I would never want you to feel disappointed!
