Yay! So you booked your session! After chatting back and forth you found a photographer that you feel fits your vibe and you’re so excited. 

Contract has been signed and retainer has been paid. You even have read their blog post that gives tips on how to get ready for your session and now you wait for the special day! 

It’s session day, you’re excited and you’ve confirmed with your photographer when they sent their confirmation text/email! 

Your photographer has likely been at the location getting everything ready and adjusting the settings on the camera and waiting for your arrival. All while answering inquiries in a timely manner. 

{Session Length} 

Now, your session is complete and you’re so excited for your gallery. Your photographer is cleaning up after the session and checking for inquiries they may have missed during the shoot. Checking the calendar to make sure everything still on track for the next session. 

Your photos have been uploaded to the computer/hard drive as soon as possible to keep images safe from being lost or damaged. 

Now the photographer has to grab a fresh clean SD card and run out the door to another session, answer a new inquiry. But what about your session? When will it be edited? How soon until you get your beautiful photos? 

Don’t worry- they’ll get done we promise! That’s why our contract gives a time frame for your gallery to be delivered. Your session will be in line to be edited before the sessions that occurred after yours. 

Phew, back from the shoot! Uploaded and made sure those images were safe too. Now back to the computer to edit you a few sneak peeks from your session before having to wrap up the gallery or two from before yours.

Pause: A phone call, an inquiry, the photographers kiddo needs to go to the doctor or school, and another session. 

All galleries prior to your session have been delivered! Now it’s time to tackle yours. 300 images to go through, some just don’t feel like a photo that represents the photographer and their work, a foot out of focus, a hand moving, maybe not everyone looking at the camera. After finding the PERFECT photos they’ve begun to edit them. 

Pause: A phone call, an inquiry, the photographers kiddo needs to go to the doctor or school, and another session. 

Finally, on the last image. A gallery folder has been created for the client. All images upload one by one to keep the best quality. Settings and privacy has to be changed before the gallery can be delivered so they are protected and can be downloaded. All done! 

You get the email “YOUR GALLERY IS READY” YAY!

You open the gallery and you’re so excited they turned out so perfect, you download and post all over social media! Meanwhile the photographer is still going and going 😜
